There is only one scientifically proven method for treating OCD. What is it and why is it so well unknown?
Answer:
What is it?: CBT (cognitive behavioral).
Why?: Other things work, but CBT is probably the easiest to research/measure/study.
Good luck!
Didn't know they hadn't gotten around to testing the others! LOL
Anyway, my old college BF's former bosses were world-renowned researchers into the physiological and neurolgical components to OCD and its then-considered subcomponent BDD (body dysmorphic disorder).
I guess they were too busy doing research to get the results on national TV, but you're helping to spread awareness that SOMETHING exists-
but what IS it?
I'm going to guess CBT. I know the therapy is somehow supposed to change the actual brain patterns, the wiring, if you will. It may be assisted by medication. But I believe the only way to affect this lasting change is through action.
I will have to correct you on this one. I am 100% positive that all those who have suffered from OCD have PROBABLY had it cured by death. Do you disagree? That is when I expect mine to leave.
Your details are not so right anyway - "there is only one scientifically proven method for treating OCD." There are many proven methods for treating it - not for curing it completely for life, but for treating it. What the heck.
Why are so few people aware law is the root source of all dis-order, dis-ease, dis-comfort, dis-ability?
Law: "both good and evil" ends bad: "evil".
Our Father, deliver us from "evil": Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the "law": Rom 7:6
"Law worketh wrath" is destructive.
"Grace is sufficient" is constructive.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
